Scotland Majestic Retreat, July 6-12, 2024

This is a rare and unique art retreat. Daily painting locations abound and the artists can expect to paint the Scottish hills, castles, moors, and lochs, Other activities include visiting Dunnotter Castle overlooking the North Sea, lochs, a whisky distillery for tasting, and of course, the village pub. The Art Retreat is based in a splendid Manor Estate. 

We have almost daily trips to painting locations and will also have ample opportunity to draw and paint on the estate of over 10,000 acres of prime land with woods, fields, rolling hills and beautifully landscaped gardens. It is here that the artists stay in a large traditional stone manor house. We can look forward to painting our surroundings, cool, green, fertile and teeming with wildlife, deer, foxes, and birds both small and large.

Expect to become fully immersed in Scottish life and the surrounding countryside. Scotland boasts pristine waters and a fertile landscape that remains under the watchful stewardship of local farmers, landowners and the National Trust, to ensure that the land is unspoiled. Be prepared for a sensual feast while you connect with art, which encompasses long hours of daylight, the flora and fauna, and the countryside which is Scotland’s heritage

The purpose of the art retreat is to make art in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find camaraderie, connections, motivation and above all, inspiration as an artist.

Suitable for artists of all levels and all media, from fearless beginners to painting professionals. Non-painting partners are always welcome.
