Joseph Zbukvic & Lisa Wang Watercolor Workshop

Vineyard estate-based Artist's Workshop in the South of France.

Join us for an unforgettable art workshop on a beautiful, well-appointed vineyard estate just over 30 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea. This immersive experience combines painting, culture, and inspiration in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

Instruction:

The workshop is structured so that you can learn from both of these award-winning and internationally recognized watercolor painters. First up is Lisa Wang's intensive workshop during which she will show us how to create a spontaneous image full of emotion and atmosphere from reference photographs, allowing you to adopt and use these techniques in your own painting! Bring your iPad or tablet.

After this, Joseph will step up as the instructor and we will go on a journey of learning from this master artist while plein air painting. We will visit various sites to paint including hilltop villages, the surrounding countryside, and also on our own estate.

The purpose of the workshop is to make art under the exceptional guidance of living masters in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find new skills, camaraderie, connections, motivation and above all, inspiration as an artist.

Pro tip: Bring your camera because you will want to snap references to paint later as you will be truly inspired by your surroundings.

Discover the Côte d'Azur

  • Paint the Mediterranean - Capture the radiant reflections and charming seaside towns with expert guidance.
  • Aix-en-Provence - Explore Cezanne’s hometown and studio—aptly known as the "City of a Thousand Fountains".
  • Local outdoor market - Perfect for treasure hunting, people-watching, and a little retail therapy.
  • Wine tasting at the local vineyard, and scenic visits to breathtaking hilltop villages.

Non-painting partners/companions are warmly welcomed. While you paint, they can enjoy leisurely explorations, café culture, vineyard visits, or simply relax and soak in the Provençal atmosphere. Many past guests bring spouses or friends, and find the shared experience that much more meaningful.

What's included:

The cost includes double occupancy accommodation on the estate, food on the estate (breakfast, lunch and dinner), grab-and-go lunch ingredients if painting off the estate, entrances to shows and exhibits, and ground transportation. Two meals out are paid at guests' own expense, but are optional. Our pick-up point is the Marseille airport.
