We invite you to join us for a rare opportunity and spend 6 days in a historic Scottish Estate with two 

The workshop is structured to have intensive teaching for 3 days upfront. Then we go into retreat mode. !he workshop takes place in and around the magnificent manor estate, where you will be capturing both models and the natural world on extensive grounds. Expect to become fully immersed in Scottish life and the surrounding countryside. Scotland boasts pristine waters and a fertile landscape that remains under the watchful stewardship of local farmers, landowners and the National Trust, to ensure that the land is unspoiled. Be prepared for a sensual feast while you connect with art, which encompasses long hours of daylight, the flora and fauna, and the countryside which is Scotland’s heritage.

After the stimulating 3-day intensive workshop, we will venture out and try out our skills in the beautiful landscape, fishing villages and historic sites in this region of Scotland. Evenings are spent on the estate for ongoing demonstrations, discussions, and art-related activities with your instructors and your fellow attendees. 

Other activities include visiting Dunnotter Castle overlooking the North Sea, lochs, hills and glens, a whisky distillery for tasting, and of course, the village pub.

The purpose of the art retreat is to make art in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find camaraderie, connections, motivation and above all, inspiration as an artist.

Suitable for photographers of all levels, from fearless beginners to professionals. Non-photographer companions are welcome.
