Peter Sandground & Jamie Simpson Photography Workshop: July 23-28, 2027

We invite you to join us for a rare opportunity and spend 6 days in a historic Scottish Estate with two renowned photojournalists.

The workshop takes place in and around the magnificent manor estate, where you will be capturing both models and the natural world on the extensive grounds. Expect to become fully immersed in Scottish life and the surrounding countryside. Scotland boasts pristine waters and a fertile landscape that remains under the watchful stewardship of local farmers, landowners and the National Trust, to ensure that the land is unspoiled. Be prepared for a sensual feast while you connect with Scotland; the long hours of daylight, the flora and fauna, and the countryside, which is Scotland’s heritage.

After lessons and demonstrations, we will venture out and try out our skills in the beautiful landscape, fishing villages, and historic sites in this region of Scotland. Evenings are spent on the estate for ongoing demonstrations, discussions, and photography-related activities with your instructors and your fellow attendees. 

Other activities include visiting Dunnottar Castle overlooking the North Sea, lochs, hills and glens, a distillery for whisky tasting, and of course, the village pub.

The purpose of the workshop is to learn practical techniques you can continue to use long after the workshop ends, all while enjoying the distraction-free, aesthetic surroundings! You'll find camaraderie, connections, motivation and above all, inspiration as a photographer.

Suitable for photographers of all levels, from fearless beginners to professionals. Non-photographer companions are welcome.
