From USD $4,850.00
  • Duration: 9 Days
  • Location: Provence
  • Product code: WIF-Poppy-2024

Our May retreat for artists is during Poppy Season and is located east of Avignon in the Vaucluse in the South of France. It is an extraordinary opportunity to paint with other artists and spend 9 idyllic days in the South West of France, all the while surrounded by the natural beauty and bounty of Provence.

The estate is only half an hour from Avignon. The cost includes all accommodations, food on the estate (breakfast, lunch and dinner), grab-and-go lunch ingredients if painting off the estate,  entrances, and ground transportation. A group lunch out and a group dinner out are paid at our guest's own expense and are optional. Our pick-up point is either of the 2 train stations on Avignon. Marseilles airport pickup can be arranged.

Avignon is a world heritage site. It is surrounded by many historical landmarks with an artistic connection. We will visit Saint Rémy de Provence and van Gogh’s home where he lived for just over a year. We will walk in his footsteps, paint what he painted and see what he saw. We also visit the medieval city of Les Baux and the spectacular audiovisual tribute to artists at Les Carriere des Lumieres. Your itinerary includes painting in fabulous locations,  markets, vineyards, and visits to breathtaking hilltop villages. We’ve chosen locations where we have access to our vehicles, materials and cafés. Bring your camera because you will want to snap references to paint later as you will be truly inspired by your surroundings.

The purpose of the art retreat is to elevate your skills and make art in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find camaraderie, connections, motivation, and above all, inspiration as an artist.

Suitable for artists of all levels and all media, from fearless beginners to painting professionals. Non-painting partners are welcome.

Once registered, we'll be in touch with all the details to help you arrive prepared.
