David Shevlino and Sarah Sedwick Workshop in the Languedoc, South of France - October 3-11 2024
- Duration: 9 Days
- Location: Languedoc
- Product code: WIF-DS&SS-2024
Paint the gorgeous French countryside with genius painters, David Shevlino and Sarah Sedwick. They are the perfect match to learn about loose, expressive, and alla prima style painting, all while taking in the inspiration of this gorgeous and history-rich region.
Situated in the Haut Languedoc region of Southern France. The accommodation is a riverside Domaine originally used as an Olive mill where they pressed olives for oil. The region is legendary for its hilltop villages, olive groves and lucious vineyards.
We will paint on the estate with views of the Massif Central (French Highlands) and the river below, in the charming surrounding villages, and the Mediterranean. We'll capture the south of France - famed for its history and beautiful light.
Other activities include outdoor markets, vineyard tours, a visit to Béziers as well as a host of hidden villages off the beaten track.
The cost includes all accommodations, food on the estate (breakfast, lunch and dinner), grab-and-go lunch ingredients if painting off the estate, entrances, and ground transportation. A group lunch out and a group dinner out are paid at our guest's own expense and are optional. Our pick-up point is either the Bezier train station or Montpellier Airport.
The purpose of the retreat is to make art in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings. You'll find new skills, camaraderie, connections, motivation and above all, inspiration as an artist.
Suitable for artists of all levels. Non-painting partners are welcome, and there will be plenty for them to do.
Once registered, we'll be in touch with all the details to help you arrive prepared.
