Normandy Workshop in a French Chateau with Aldo Balding, May 1-9, 2025

This is a unique painting workshop with one of the art world’s leading figurative painters and instructors, Aldo Balding. Our art adventure takes place just outside of Paris, France in an intimate medieval château. Here, you'll discover and develop your technical skills - learning by painting figures, the landscape, abundant florals, French interiors, and of course, the light.

The estate in Normandy is under two hours from the center of Paris. The cost includes all accommodations in a shared room (upgrades available), food on the estate (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), grab-and-go lunch ingredients if painting off the estate, entrances to venues, and ground transportation. One elegant group meal out is at the guest's expense as well as a luncheon. Our pick-up point is Charles de Gaulle airport or the Gare de Rouen-Rive-Droite train station. 

 Your itinerary includes painting in fabulous locations,  markets, and visits to breathtaking villages. We’ve chosen locations where we have access to our vehicles, materials and cafés. Bring your camera because you will want to snap references to paint later as you will be truly inspired by your surroundings. 

The purpose of the art retreat is to elevate your skills and make art in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find camaraderie, connections, motivation, and above all, inspiration as an artist.

Suitable for artists of all levels and all media, from fearless beginners to painting professionals. Non-painting partners are welcome.
