Normandy Workshop in a French Chateau with Aldo Balding, May 1-9, 2025

This is a unique painting workshop with one of the art world’s leading figurative painters and instructors, Aldo Balding. Our art adventure takes place just outside of Paris, France in an intimate 18th-century château. Here, you'll discover and develop your technical skills - learning by painting figures, the landscape, abundant florals, French interiors, and of course, the light.

The cost includes all accommodations in a shared room (upgrades available), food on the estate (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), grab-and-go lunch ingredients if painting off the estate, entrances to venues and museums, and ground transportation. There are 2 optional meals out at your own expense. Our pick-up point is the Gare de Rouen-Rive-Droite train station. 

 Your itinerary includes painting in fabulous locations,  markets, and visits to breathtaking villages. We’ve chosen locations where we have access to our vehicles, materials and cafés. Bring your camera because you will want to snap references to paint later as you will be truly inspired by your surroundings. 

The purpose of the workshop is to elevate your skills and make art in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find camaraderie, connections, motivation, and above all, inspiration as an artist.
