Jane Hunt & Michele Usibelli Workshop in Provence, June 11-19 2024
- Duration: 9 Days
- Location: Vaucluse
- Product code: WIF-JH&MU-2024
The oil painting workshop with Jane Hunt and Michele Usibelli is located east of Avignon in Provence. It is an extraordinary opportunity to paint with these master plein air painters. You'll spend 9 days learning from Jane and Michele as they demo, explain their techniques, and provide assistance and critiques. All while surrounded by the natural beauty and bounty of Provence.
The historic chateau is about 40 minutes from Avignon. The cost includes all accommodations, food on the estate (breakfast, lunch and dinner), grab-and-go lunch ingredients if painting off the estate, entrances to venues, and ground transportation. We have two official meals out which are at the artists' own expense, and are optional. Our pick-up point is either of the 2 train stations on Avignon. Marseilles airport pickup can be arranged.
Avignon is a world heritage site. It is surrounded by many historical landmarks with an artistic connection. We will visit Saint Rémy de Provence and Van Gogh’s home where he lived for just over a year. We will walk in his footsteps, paint what he painted and see what he saw. We also visit the medieval city of Les Baux and the spectacular audiovisual tribute to artists at Les Carriere des Lumieres. Your itinerary includes painting with Jane and Michele in fabulous locations, markets, vineyards, and visits to breathtaking hilltop villages. We’ve chosen locations where we have access to our vehicles, materials and cafés. Bring your camera because you will want to snap references to paint later as you will be truly inspired by your surroundings.
The purpose of the workshop is to make art under the exceptional guidance of living masters in distraction-free aesthetic surroundings! You'll find new skills, camaraderie, connections, motivation and above all, inspiration as an artist.
Suitable for artists of all levels. This workshop is primarily for oil painters, but artists of other media will be accepted. Some drawing and painting experience is recommended. This is a workshop where non-painting partners are welcome. There will be plenty for them to do.
Once registered, we'll be in touch with all the details to help you arrive prepared.
